If you know any fall U10/11 age group player that is excited about soccer and wanting to hone their skills, I have worked with WYSA and set up the CFE (Center For Excellence) program in River Falls! It will occur once or twice a month, for a total of 8 sessions, on Sunday evenings this fall and next spring. It will be held at the 8v8 field at the School District Admin building off of Division Street. My understanding is that this is a precursor to ODP (Olympic Development Program). Great thing is it is only $50 for the entire program!!! Please read the information below and check the links on the email below on how to sign up.

If you have any questions, please contact Steve Dodge.

The Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce that it will again offer the "Center for Excellence", a program to aid in its player development efforts. We are contacting you so that you might assist us in helping to get interested U10 and U11 players, from your club involved in this yearŐs Program.

The Wisconsin Youth Soccer "Center for Excellence" will provide an enjoyable and enriching environment for players who have shown a disposition and ability for "taking players on". 1v1 skills helpful to excel at soccer are hard to learn and aren't always taught to all our players. The purpose of the Wisconsin Youth Soccer "Center for Excellence" is to teach and refine these individual skills. Children who can learn them very rapidly and pass them on to their teammates are especially encouraged to participate. These players will then be challenged to go back to their clubs and show their new moves and skills to as many of their teammates and friends as they can.

The Wisconsin Youth Soccer "Center for Excellence" will be comprised of nine contacts, (8 training dates and 1 festival), with boys and girls trained together. Sessions will focus upon 1v1 moves; turns, shielding, striking the ball, short passing and small group play. Registration fees will be $50 per player. Fees will not be prorated nor, will there be additional costs for participants.

This is an open enrollment program, subject to age eligibility and facility constraints. Interested participants should refer to our website at http://www.wiyouthsoccer.com/Programs/excellence.htm for complete details and program registration.

If you have any questions or need additional information you may contact Melissa Vukovic at mvukovic@wiyouthsoccer.com or 888.328.9972 ext. 105.
