TRAVELING SOCCER
If your child would like to play more soccer and develop their skills, perhaps they would be interested in joining a traveling soccer team next summer. Boys and girls from 3rd grade through high school play on teams according to their age (for instance, a 10 year old girl would play on a U-11 girls team). River Falls Wildcat Soccer usually sponsors at least one boys' and one girls' team in each age group. The teams play other teams from the east-Metro area (Maplewood, White Bear Lake, Hastings, etc.). There are 1 to 2 games per week (usually during the week in the evenings) and the season runs from mid-May through July. Traveling soccer requires a bigger commitment than does Fall Rec soccer but it’s an excellent way to allow your child to become a better player, make new friends, be part of a team, stay active during the summer, and most of all have a lot of fun. If you're interested, registration is in November (watch for ads. in the paper and in the soccer newsletter). For more information, click here or on the "Traveling" button above or contact any board member or coach.
